AMD Cheap Graphics Card

Rx 460 2Gb

Rx 460 is the newest and cheapest graphics card from AMD; it is entirely compatible with DirectX 12 and Vulkan. It’s an entry-level card with a price tag of above $110.

It replaces the previous entry-level card of AMD, the R7 360. The price of R7 360 is similar, but it’s better to buy the newest Rx 460 which is a more powerful and efficient card.

The card’s TDP is only of 75 watts. It draws power directly from the PCIex16 slot itself, no need to buy another Power Supply or extra cable.

It has 2gb GDDR5 of memory and a 128-bit memory interface which makes it the best cheap graphics card for playing games at 1080p high settings. Most games will perform over 40 fps on high settings. However, light games like Overwatch or LoL will have no problem running on ultra settings with 60+ fps.

Personal advice: There are different brands for the Rx 460: Powercolor, Sapphire, Gigabyte, etc. I would go for the cheapest graphics card.

You can get the list of every Rx 460 that you can buy here.

Gtx 1050 2gb is the best cheap graphics card from Nvidia, based on the Pascal architecture GP107. It’s an entry-level card with a price tag of above 120$, slightly more expensive than the AMD equivalent card, the Rx 460.

Like the Rx 460, the Gtx 1050 has a TDP of 75 watts and draws power directly from the PCIex16 slot.

With the GPU Boost technology, you’ll get a small performance boost, but it’s always a welcome thing.

The Gtx 1050 has 2gb of gddr5 memory and a 128-bit interface. It has 640 Cuda cores; the same has the older generation entry-level, Gtx 750 ti.

While having the same Cuda cores, the Gtx 1050 is 40% faster than the Gtx 750 Ti, which cost approximately the same.

This efficient entry-level graphic card is perfect for a budget build and can easily give you an average of 40-50 FPS on ultra settings. For high settings, you’ll get an average of 50-60 FPS, perfect for a comfortable gaming experience.

Personal Advice: There are different brands. I advise you to buy the cheapest model available: Zotac.
